Since Scotland’s roll out of the COVID-19 vaccine began on 8 December 2020, NHS Lothian and our four health and social care partnerships have delivered millions of COVID-19 vaccines.
The initial effort to protect people from the virus was the biggest logistical operation Scotland had seen since the Second World War, with the COVID-19 vaccine estimated to have saved tens of thousands of lives.
