NHS Lothian Vaccination Clinic locations, dates and times are listed below. The meningococcal B (MenB) vaccine helps protect against infection caused by the meningococcal group B bacteria. This bacteria is one of the types that can cause meningitis (inflammation of the protective membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord) and sepsis caused by meningococcal group B bacteria. You can get the MenB vaccine if you can answer yes to one of the following questions: are you under the age of 25, starting your first college course in the 2026-2027 academic year, and living in shared student accommodation (including international students)? were you born between 1 March 2008 and 28 February 2009? were you in S6 during the 2025-2026 academic year? are you under the age of 25 and starting your first undergraduate university course in the 2026-2027 academic year (including international students)? At your appointment We’ll ask a few quick questions to confirm you’re eligible. You do not need to bring any documents. If you have something with you (such as a university or college offer), bringing it along may help speed things up, but it is not essential. When you get your first, the team will provide you with information on how to arrange your second dose. Sometimes our drop-in clinics can get busy, especially if lots of people arrive at the same time, so you might have to wait a little while. If there’s a queue, thanks for being patient. If standing in line is difficult for you because of your health, just let one of our team know so they can offer to help. On very busy days, more people might come along than we can safely see.
