Ambulances

Ambulances are available for patient’s who require assistance from skilled ambulance staff. E.g. require access to oxygen whilst travelling. Or patients who have a medical condition/mobility problem that prevents them from using any alternative means.

Having a hospital or clinic appointment does not mean that you automatically qualify for ambulance transport.

You can request ambulance transport by visiting the Scottish Ambulance Service, Support With Appointments web pageopens a new window to complete the online booking request form within 10 days of your appointment. 

You can also request an ambulance in by calling 0300 123 1236 within 10 days of your appointment.

When you call the ambulance service, they will take you through an assessment to help understand your requirements and if you need to use their service.
