Complaining about your GP, Dentist, Optician, Pharmacy, 24 or Scottish Ambulance Service

Most General Practitioners are independent contractors and under the NHS Complaints Procedure, you should initially complain directly in writing to the Practice Manager or lead GP. NHS Lothian is only responsible for the following GP practices which you CAN contact us about if you have feedback or a complaint:

  • Restalrig Park Medical Centre
  • Braefoot Medical Practice
  • The Access Place
  • Wester Hailes HC
  • Polwarth Surgery
  • Mill Lane Medical Surgery
  • Links Medical Centre
  • Parkgrove Medcial Centre
  • Boroughloch Medical Practice  (Challenging Behaviour Practice)

All community dentists, opticians and pharmacies are also independent contractors and under the NHS Complaints Procedure, you should initially complain directly in writing to the Practice/ Branch Manager.

NHS 24 have their own Patient Experience Team and you can raise any concerns with them directly via email patient.experience@nhs24.scot.nhs.uk
