E.g. require access to oxygen whilst travelling. Or patients who have a medical condition\/mobility problem that prevents them from using any alternative means.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having a hospital or clinic appointment does not mean that you automatically qualify for ambulance transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can request ambulance transport by visiting the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scottishambulance.com\/our-services\/support-with-appointments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Scottish Ambulance Service, Support With Appointments<\/a>\u00a0to complete the online booking request form within 10 days of your appointment.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also request an ambulance in by calling&nbsp;<strong>0300 123 1236&nbsp;<\/strong>within 10 days of your appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you call&nbsp;the ambulance service, they will take you through an assessment to help understand your requirements and if you need to use their service.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ambulances Ambulances are available for patient&rsquo;s who require assistance from skilled ambulance staff.
