In March 2021 the Scottish Government published new guidance to public bodies on carrying out their duties to engage with the public over the development of and changes to services. Entitled Planning With People<\/em>, the updated guidance ensures that Integrated Joint Boards and Local Authorities join NHS Boards to include the voice of users in their planning processes. It is the key document against which these organisations will benchmark their engagement activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Planning with people promotes real collaboration between\u00a0NHS\u00a0Boards, Integration Joint Boards and Local Authorities. The NHS Lothian Board signed off the new Framework, which paves the way for greater cooperation with the\u00a0Health and Social Care Partnerships over engagement issues.
