Online Application Form

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with NHS Lothian. Please make sure you have read all the information on our applying to be a volunteer page, are able to manage our minimum commitments and are willing and able to take part in our training programme before starting your application.

PLEASE NOTE: For the majority of our volunteering roles, we ask for a regular weekly commitment at the same time and day each week. Please ensure you can commit to this before applying to volunteer with us. If your availability varies from week to week and you cannot make this weekly commitment e.g., you do shift work with varying shift patterns, we will be unable to place you in a volunteering role at this time.

Our Youth Volunteering Programme is now open.

Who is this suitable for? Are you aged 16-25? Are you looking to volunteer in a hospital setting? Perhaps you’re considering future employment within health and social care or just looking to gain experience and build your CV? If so, our Youth Volunteering Programme might be for you. Open to applications twice a year, our youth volunteering programme enables young people aged 16-25 the unique opportunity to volunteer within a hospital setting.
