Being outdoors, especially being active outdoors, can lead to increased energy, improved circulation, better sleep, reduced stress, feeling happier and more relaxed, and can help control your weight. It is also a good way of being social or having some time to yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-accent-colour-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-bcb6e22689e6a81d88a8fa5ffdd84f3a\"><strong>On the Friends Pathway, you will learn about some of the fascinating history of the Astley Ainslie site from the plague to pioneering medical advances.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\" id=\"join-us-on-a-walking-tour-of-this-historic-area\">Astley Ainslie Friends Pathway<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-standard-black-color has-text-color has-regular-font-size\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">The Friends Pathway has been created for patients, relatives and staff of the Astley Ainslie Hospital to allow all to enjoy the beautiful environment that the hospital is situated in and highlight the historic background to this great hospital.
